🌿 Philodendron Care Guide
Easygoing, bold, and totally collectible — Philodendrons are the heart of any plant lover’s jungle.
Light:
Philodendrons enjoy bright, indirect light. Some can adapt to lower light, but brighter conditions help them grow faster and hold their shape. Avoid direct sun, especially for thinner or velvety varieties.
Water:
Let the top couple inches of soil dry out between waterings. These plants don’t like soggy roots, but they also won’t forgive crispy neglect. A moisture meter helps keep that balance just right!
Humidity:
Moderate to high humidity is best — around 50–70%. They can tolerate average indoor levels, but will thrive with an extra boost (especially the rarer species).
Temperature:
Philodendrons love it warm! Keep temps between 65–85°F and avoid drafts or cold windows.
Soil:
They need a chunky, well-draining mix that holds some moisture. Our Molly Aroid Mix is specially blended for tropical aroids and perfect for all your Philodendron favorites.
Fertilizer:
Feed monthly during the growing season with our plant-safe fertilizer to fuel those big, beautiful leaves.
Pest Prevention:
Check leaf undersides and new growth often. Our houseplant pest spray helps prevent and treat common issues like spider mites, mealybugs, and aphids.
Extras & Styling:
Give climbing varieties a moss pole or trellis to stretch out (and size up!). Don’t forget to pair them with one of our decorative cover pots to complete the look.
